Keys made at your vehicle
Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs are everywhere around McAllen, and most of them need a programmed key to start. We bring the blank, the cutting machine and the programming tool to the truck, so there is no tow to a dealer.
- Chip keys
Plain-head keys with a transponder chip, common on older Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe and Impala models.
Chip keys → - Flip keys and remote keys
The blade folds into the remote on many newer Chevy and GMC trucks and SUVs.
Fob programming → - Push-to-start smart keys
Proximity keys on newer models that start with a button.
Smart keys → - Worn ignition or stuck key
High-mileage trucks often wear the key and the ignition together.

Models we see most
Silverado 1500/2500, Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Equinox, Traverse, Malibu, Colorado, Canyon, Acadia, Trax. Other years and models: call with the year, make and model.
Good to know about GM keys
On some GM vehicles, adding a key when all keys are lost includes a security relearn that makes you wait a few minutes with the ignition on. That is normal, and it is done at the truck.
Work trucks and fleets
A second key for a work truck saves a lost day on the job. If several people drive the same truck, ask for spares on the same visit.
Silverado and Sierra keys and fobs
Depending on the year, a Silverado or Sierra uses a chip key, a flip key with a remote, or a push-to-start smart key. We cut and program the right one at the truck, so you do not tow it to a dealer and wait days for a key to be ordered. Most jobs take under an hour.
How it works
- Call or WhatsApp (956) 414-0903. Tell us the year, make and model, and where the car is.
- We come to the car.
- The work is done at the vehicle and tested in the door and the ignition before we leave.
We work on most years and models. If yours needs a dealer-only step, we tell you on the call, before anyone drives out. If all keys are lost, the person asking for the key should be able to show that the car is theirs (for example ID and registration or title).
Common questions
Can you make a key for my Silverado if I lost the only one?
Yes, for most Silverado and Sierra years. The key is cut and programmed at the truck. If your year needs a dealer-only step, we tell you on the call.
Do you make keys for GMC as well as Chevy?
Yes. Chevy and GMC trucks share most key systems, so Sierra, Yukon, Canyon and Acadia are covered the same way.
Can you program a push-to-start key for a Silverado or Sierra?
Yes, including newer push-to-start Silverado and Sierra models. It is programmed at the truck.
