Master key systems
When a business grows past a few doors, a ring of keys becomes a problem. A master key system gives the owner one key for every door, managers a key for their area, and each employee a key for only the doors they use. When someone leaves, only the locks they had need to be rekeyed.
- Planning
We list the doors and who needs which, then build the key chart.
- Rekey into the system
Existing locks are rekeyed when the hardware allows it.
- Rentals & multi-unit
Each unit has its own key; the manager has one master.
High-security locks and key control
Standard keys can be copied at any hardware store or kiosk. High-security cylinders use restricted keys that only an authorized dealer can cut, so you control how many copies exist. The cylinders also resist picking, bumping and drilling.

Common questions
What is a master key system?
Each lock has its own key, and a master key opens all of them (or a group of them). Staff carry one key that opens only their doors; the owner carries one key for everything.
Do I need new locks for a master key system?
Often the existing locks can be rekeyed into the system. Some old or mixed hardware has to be replaced. We check on site.
What makes a lock high-security?
Resistance to picking, bumping and drilling, and a restricted key that only an authorized dealer can copy, with your written permission.
Is this only for businesses?
No. Landlords with several units and homeowners who want a stronger front door use them too.
