Keys made at your vehicle
Ford trucks are some of the most common vehicles around McAllen. Most Fords since the late 1990s use a chipped key (Ford calls it PATS), so a key that is only cut will open the door but will not start the engine. We cut and program it at the vehicle.
- Chip keys (PATS)
Plain-head chip keys on older F-150, Ranger, Explorer and Mustang models.
Chip keys → - Remote head keys and flip keys
Lock, unlock and panic buttons built into the key head.
Fob programming → - Intelligent Access smart keys
Push-to-start proximity keys on newer Ford trucks and SUVs.
Smart keys → - Key stuck or broken
Broken blade in the door or ignition, pulled at the vehicle.
Broken key extraction →
Models we see most
F-150, F-250, F-350, Ranger, Explorer, Expedition, Escape, Edge, Fusion, Focus, Mustang, Transit, Bronco Sport. Other years and models: call with the year, make and model.
The two-key rule
Many Fords let an owner add a key at home only when two working keys are already programmed. With one key or none, the new key is programmed with a tool. We handle both at the vehicle.
Newer Fords
Some recent models need extra steps to program a key. We tell you on the call if your year can be done at the vehicle.
Ford F-150 Key Replacement & Programming — Through 2026
We provide mobile Ford F-150 key replacement, key cutting and programming for model years through 2026, including supported smart keys, key fobs and push-to-start systems. All-keys-lost and spare-key services are available. We bring the key, the cutting machine and the programming tool to the truck in McAllen, TX, at home, at the job site or in a parking lot. No tow to the dealer, and most jobs take under an hour.
Lost every F-150 key?
With no working key, a new key is cut and programmed at the truck. Call with the year and tell us if the truck is push-to-start or turn-key. If all keys are lost, the person asking for the key should be able to show that the car is theirs (for example ID and registration or title).
How it works
- Call or WhatsApp (956) 414-0903. Tell us the year, make and model, and where the car is.
- We come to the car.
- The work is done at the vehicle and tested in the door and the ignition before we leave.
We work on most years and models. If yours needs a dealer-only step, we tell you on the call, before anyone drives out. If all keys are lost, the person asking for the key should be able to show that the car is theirs (for example ID and registration or title).
