Keys made at your vehicle
Most Honda and Acura keys combine a laser-cut (high-security) blade with a chip, and many have the remote built into the key head. Newer models use push-to-start smart keys. Both the blade and the chip are done at the car.

Worn Honda keys
If your key only turns when you jiggle it, the blade or the ignition is worn. A new key cut to the original code often fixes it. If not, see ignition repair.
Spare Honda key
A second Honda key is cut and programmed from the working one at the car, so it is ready the same visit.

- The work is done at the vehicle and tested in the door and the ignition before we leave.
We work on most years and models. If yours needs a dealer-only step, we tell you on the call, before anyone drives out. If all keys are lost, the person asking for the key should be able to show that the car is theirs (for example ID and registration or title).
Common questions
Can you program a Honda remote head key?
Yes, for most Civic, Accord, CR-V and other Honda models. The blade is cut and the chip and remote are programmed at the car.
Do you make Acura keys too?
Yes. Acura uses Honda key systems, so most Acura models are covered the same way.
